How to Assemble Apple Cobbler

Melt the 14g of butter in a pan. Add all your remaining ingredients including apple slices, brown sugar, lemon juice, all purpose flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. 

Cook for good 5 minutes or until apples are soften and fully coated. Transfer to your pan

Whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar in the bowl. Add the buttermilk, vanilla, flour, baking powder and pinch of salt.  Whisk until combine together, it’s ok if you get some small lumps.

Pour and spread the batter over the pre-cooked apples. Sprinkle the mix sugar and cinnamon over the batter evenly and use a butter knife to swirl the topping

Bake for 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown. When ready, remove from the oven, place it on a rack and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.

Serve warm or at room temperature either on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
